A list of my favorite stripteuses, burlesque dancers, clothing-free artistes et al.
We’ll start with the obvious:
Michelle L’amour
The inimitable Most Naked Woman. The object of my uxorious affection. And the stripper I feed most often. Head and pasties above my love for any other, mL’ is amazing, talent, beautiful and hungry. She even laughs at a goodly portion of my jokes. AND she keeps me in pearls, up to my neck in beautiful, bawdy ladies. Thanks, doll. www.MichelleLamour.com
Lili St. Cyr
Lili St. Cyr was one of the most famous burlesque dancers of all time. Born in Minneapolis in 1918, she went on to dance at the Florentine Gardens in Hollywood where she moved out of the chorus line by moving out of her costumes. Known for her trademark “Flying G” where her g-string would come off and fly into the balcony just before the lights went out on stage, she also performed signature acts like “The Wolf Woman”, “Afternoon of a Faun”, “The Ballet Dancer”, “In a Persian Harem”, “The Chinese Virgin”, as well as “Suicide”. After retiring from dancing, she wrote an autobiography and began a lingerie company called “Lili’s UndieWorld” specializing her “Scantie Panties”. For more stunning images CLICK HERE.
Zorita
Miss Zorita put the exotic in exotic dancer. She often performed with pythons and boa constrictors for her signature “Consumation of the Wedding of the Snake” act. Edward J. Kelly, Mayor of Chicago, said she was ”built to the hilt” in 1944 when he saw her dance at the 606 Club where it is rumored that Chicago’s Zip Codes were quantified by stripper lovin’ aldermen. She acted in mainstream movies as well, most famously in Lenny, where she had a small part…as a burlesque dancer. Check this Google Image Search to see how she was one of the most dramatic and alluring figures to feature during the heyday of burlesque.
